Madrid

The residents of Madrid adhere to the Spanish tradition of having a heavier meal at lunch and then a lighter one for their dinner (9-10 p.m.), often in an outdoor cafe.

Bullfighting is very popular in Spain.  Each city has its season which can be anywhere from Holy Week through September/October.   Madrid's season is Holy Week -early June.  On a bullfighting day there will be 2 events each featuring a matador challenged by 2 bulls, one at a time.  Traditionally,  the bulls are killed in the ring.
