Greetings from Portugal!

We arrived in Lisbon yesterday

and then drove to Fatima, the site of the Apparitions of the "Lady of the Rosary". The first of the Apparitions appeared to three shepherd children near Fatima on May 13, 1917, so this area is preparing for its hundreth anniversary .  Between one-and-a-half and two million people are expected in the small town of Fatima for the celebration. The Pope will arrive on Friday as well. We were very lucky to be able to see it before the throngs of worshippers start coming in. It was a beautiful day in the low-80s with bright blue skies.
