The Scottish Highlands, Part 2

This is the land of "Braveheart" fame.  It is a gorgeous green with rolling hills and crystal-clear lakes. The highest elevation in Great Britain is here at over 4600 ft.  There are many B and Bs which are very busy this time of year.

We've spent the past two nights in Ballachulish in the Highlands.  We took a day trip to the Isle of Skye (mist). It is no wonder why this area is a popular location for film makers.  The terrain is
breath-taking and it is sparsely populated.

We saw Armadale Castle with its spectacular gardens and the area where several of the Harry Potter movies were filmed. We even caught a glimpse of the Hogwart Express (properly known as the Jacobite Express)!!
