Dublin is large, busy and young. We saw many people jogging, cycling or walking briskly in this metropolitan area of nearly one million. It is an international banking hub with a diverse population. We saw several highlights of the city but only scratched the surface. Here is a quick look at what we saw in today's Dublin.
This is a replica of the "famine" ship, The Jeannie Johnston. It made several successful voyages with Irish immigrants leaving desperate conditions during the Potato Famine of 1845-52. The sculptures are a tribute to those who left everything behind in search of a better life.
